Batley Girls' High School

Batley Girls' High School is a secondary school and sixth form in Batley, West Yorkshire, England. It was previously a community school administered by Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council, and gained specialist status as a Visual Arts College in 2004. The school converted to academy status in 2011, but continues to coordinate with Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council for admissions. Batley Girls' High School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs.

Wilton Park is a public park located in Batley, West Yorkshire, England. Opened to the public in 1909 in the grounds of an old mansion (which now serves as the Bagshaw Museum) by the Batley Corporation, the park now serves the whole of the town. The park contains a lake, formal gardens, a large area of natural woodland and open fields. Facilities include bowling greens, tennis courts and a paddling pool. A railway line once ran through the park. Despite being closed many years ago, its path is still evident, as is the bridge which lies directly in front of the park's main entrance.

Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, and part of the Heavy Woollen District, Birstall is approximately 6 miles (10 km) south-west of Leeds and situated close to the M62 motorway. The town is situated between Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
