Pocklington Iron Age burial ground
The Pocklington Iron Age burial ground is a prehistoric cemetery discovered in 2014 on the outskirts of Pocklington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Excavations carried out on an ongoing basis since then, have uncovered more than 160 skeletons and more than 70 square barrows thought to date to the Middle Iron Age that are attributed to the Arras culture, an ancient British culture of East Yorkshire. A variety of grave goods have been found along with the human remains, including weapons, beads, pots, and a rare chariot burial.

Burnby Hall Gardens
Burnby Hall Gardens, also known as Stewart's Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum, are located close to the centre of Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. They are home to the United Kingdom's national collection of hardy water lilies, and contain the largest such collection to be found in a natural setting in Europe. The 8 acres (3.2 ha) of gardens with two lakes planted with naturalized water lilies were bequeathed to Pocklington by Major Percy Marlborough Stewart.
The lakes, originally created for fishing, are stocked with ornamental roach and carp that visitors can hand feed.
In 2024, Burnby Hall Gardens was awarded the prestigious Gold Award from Yorkshire in Bloom.

Woldgate School and Sixth Form College
Woldgate School and Sixth Form College, more commonly known as Woldgate School, and formerly Woldgate College, is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form on Kilnwick Road in Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It educates approximately 1,200 pupils aged 11 to 18. Until 2017, the school was Local Authority funded, but became an academy in January 2017 and is now part of the Wonder Learning Partnership multi-academy trust. The school received positive report in its latest Ofsted inspection, and was considered a 'good' school until Ofsted ended the use of one-word ratings.
Woldgate School educates pupils from Pocklington and its surrounding villages, which forms a large, mainly rural catchment area.
The school teaching is under the National Curriculum, and includes a Sixth Form.

Pocklington () is a market town and civil parish at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. At the 2021 United Kingdom census, its population was 10,123. It lies 13 miles (21 km) east of York, and 22 miles (35 km) north-west of Hull.
The town's skyline is marked by the 15th-century tower of All Saints' parish church. The ecclesiastical parish includes the hamlet of Kilnwick Percy.

It is an important Grade I listed building, dating mainly from the 12th to the 15th century. It is a constituent parish of the Diocese of York.
