South Ribble - Izeria

South Ribble is a local government district with borough status in Lancashire, England. Its council is based in Leyland. The borough includes the towns and villages of Penwortham, Leyland, Farington, Farington Moss, Hutton, Longton, Walmer Bridge, Much Hoole, Coupe Green, Samlesbury, Lostock Hall, Walton-le-Dale and Bamber Bridge. Many of the built-up areas in the borough form part of the wider Preston built-up area. The neighbouring districts are Preston, Ribble Valley, Blackburn with Darwen, Chorley, West Lancashire and Fylde.

Leyland railway station

Leyland railway station serves the town of Leyland in Lancashire, England. It was formerly "Golden Hill", the name of the street and area in which the station is based, but was renamed Leyland soon after opening. The original station was built in 1838, with two platforms.

British Commercial Vehicle Museum

The British Commercial Vehicle Museum displays antiquarian buses, early fire engines and other historical and commercial vehicles produced by the British manufacturing industry. The museum is located in King Street, Leyland, Lancashire on part of a site previously occupied by the Leyland Motors factory, the source of many exhibits. Funding methods include the admission charges and membership tickets. More recently, a major investment by the Heritage Lottery Fund has contributed to a major refurbishment and website redesign by local digital agency Fertile Frog. The museum is now open throughout the year( see website for details ). Events include Classic Vehicles, Model Makers Exhibition and the Spring Transport Show. In 2010, the museum was one of three featured on Richard Macer's BBC Four series Behind the Scenes at the Museum.

County Ground (Leyland)

The County Ground is a football stadium in Leyland, Lancashire, England, which is owned and operated by Lancashire County Football Association (Lancashire FA). It is the home ground of Burnley under-21s, Blackburn Rovers under-21s, Bolton Wanderers reserves and both the Lancashire FA representative team and the Lancashire FA youth team.

Wellfield Academy

Wellfield Academy (formerly Wellfield High School) is a coeducational secondary school located in Leyland in the English county of Lancashire. Wellfield High School was previously awarded specialist status as a Business and Enterprise College. Today, Wellfield Academy is a Community school administered by Lancashire County Council, however, while remaining a Community School, Wellfield Academy is currently being operated by the Endeavour Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust. Wellfield Academy offers GCSEs as programmes of study for pupils.
