Cardonald Place Farm

Cardonald Place Farm is a farmhouse on the banks of the White Cart Water river in Cardonald, Glasgow, Scotland. It was built in 1848 on (or close to) the site occupied by the former Cardonald Palace. Cardonald Castle was the seat of the Cardonald Stewart family in the 16th Century. Nothing remains of Cardonald Palace, although a stone from the palace has been set into the farmhouse above the door. The farmhouse is featured on the cover of the 1993 book "Old Cardonald Had A Farm" by John A. Innes.

Cardonald (; Scots: Cardonal, Scottish Gaelic: Cair Dhòmhnaill) is an outlying suburb of the Scottish city of Glasgow. Formerly a village in its own right, it lies to the southwest of the city and is bounded to the south by the White Cart Water. The area was part of Renfrewshire until 1926 when the villages of Cardonald, Crookston, Halfway and their surrounding farmland were annexed to Glasgow.

Rosshall Academy is a secondary school in the Rosshall (Crookston) area of Glasgow, Scotland. The school was formed in August 1999 to merge Penilee Secondary School (Penilee) and Crookston Castle Secondary School (Pollok) and moved to a new building roughly equidistant between them on Crookston Road in 2002. It holds over 1,100 pupils. Rosshall Academy has five main feeder primary schools – Cardonald Primary, Craigton Primary, Crookston Castle Primary, Hillington Primary and Sandwood Primary, along with a part association with Mosspark Primary (Mosspark's catchment being split between Rosshall and Bellahouston Academy).

Hillington (Scots: Hullintoun, Scottish Gaelic: Hileantan) is an area on the southwestern edge of the Scottish city of Glasgow comprising a residential neighbourhood and a large industrial suburb. While the residential area (close to Penilee to the west and directly adjoining North Cardonald to the east, primarily consisting of cottage flats) is wholly within Glasgow, the greater part of the industrial estate on the other side of the Inverclyde Line railway tracks falls under the jurisdiction of neighbouring Renfrew, although uses a Glasgow postcode.
