USS WST-1 was a 325-ton salvage tug of the United States Navy during World War II. She was built by Adams & Company, Berrys Bay, Sydney, Australia for the United States Navy in 1945. While travelling up the east coast of Australia, she ran aground on rocks off Bar Beach, New South Wales, Newcastle in heavy fog on 27 July 1945 and was holed.

It is the oldest remaining church building in Newcastle, completed in 1860. The building, the design of which is attributed to colonial architect Edmund Blacket, in the Old Colonial Grecian Revival style, is located close to the city centre at 1D Parry Street, Cooks Hill. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
