Airport station (French: Station Aéroport) is an O-Train rapid transit station. It is located at Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport in the south end of Ottawa. It serves as the southwestern terminus of the three-stop Line 4 which opened on January 6, 2025. The airport is also served by an OC Transpo bus stop.

Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport

Ottawa/Macdonald–Cartier International Airport or simply Ottawa International Airport is the main international airport serving the National Capital Region of Canada which contains the cities of Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. Located 8 nautical miles south of downtown Ottawa in the south end of the city, it is Canada's sixth-busiest airport, Ontario's second-busiest airport by airline passenger traffic, with 4,866,236 passengers in 2025. The airport is a major hub for Porter Airlines, a focus city for Air Canada and Air Transat and a home base for Canadian North. The airport is named after the Canadian statesmen and two of the "founding fathers of Canada", Sir John A. Macdonald and Sir George-Étienne Cartier. It is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada, and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency, it is one of nine Canadian airports that contain U.S border preclearance facilities. The airport was formerly a military base known as CFB Ottawa South/CFB Uplands, and is still home to the Royal Canadian Air Force's 412 Transport Squadron, which provides air transport for Canadian and foreign government officials.

CFB Uplands

Canadian Forces Base Uplands was a Canadian Forces Base located in Ottawa, Ontario. Most of the land which formed the base was transferred to the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport after the base was closed in the 1990s. Several military units continue to exist at the former base and the Canadian Forces continues to maintain military housing at the site. The former base is now known formally as "Canadian Forces Support Group - Uplands Site."

Uplands, also known as Elizabeth Park or Airport-Uplands is a neighbourhood in Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the federal and provincial districts of Ottawa South, in the former city of Gloucester. It is bordered by the Hunt Club Road to the north, Uplands Drive to the east, and the Macdonald-Cartier International Airport to the south and west. The neighbourhood is adjacent to the military community living at CFB Uplands, which was a large air force base in the 1960s and which still contains residential housing for military members. The neighbourhood was first built around 1940. The neighbourhood was expanded eastward in the early 1960s. A newer neighbourhood named Wisteria Park was built around 2006 north of Uplands off of Hunt Club. Wisteria Park maintains its own community association. The total population of Uplands, including Wisteria Park was 1,581.

Uplands station

Uplands station is a station on Line 4 of the O-Train system in Ottawa, Ontario. It was constructed as part of the Stage 2 O-Train expansion and opened on January 6, 2025. The station has two side platforms and has the only passing loop on the line. It is located next to the EY Centre – a large convention centre.

Service

Historically, Route 97 was the only bus that serviced the original stop. It was the southern terminus for this route. From Airport station, Route 97 continued northward and terminated at Hurdman station on the O-Train Line 1. In April 2025, Route 97 service to/from this station was replaced by Line 4 train service to/from South Keys station. Route 105 (named after the Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow) supplements Line 4 service, connecting this station with Hurdman, Tremblay and St. Laurent stations. It also serves as a replacement for Line 4 when it is delayed or out of service. At Hurdman, trains travel west to downtown Ottawa and east to Tremblay station (adjacent to Via Rail Ottawa station) before ending at the Blair station terminus.
