Beverley School, Middlesbrough

Beverley School is a community special school in Middlesbrough, England. The school supports children with autism and is based in a campus with another school, Hollis Academy (formally Prince Bishop School). Originally opened as a special school for hearing-impaired children back in the mid-1970s, the school began to admit children with autism in the 1980s and is now a regional centre of excellence. Since Easter 2011 Beverley School has shared a campus with Hollis Academy (formerly Prince Bishop School). Headteacher Nigel Carden retired in 2011 and was replaced by Joanne Smith in 2012, following a year where another local special school head teacher stepped in as active head due to the successful candidate for headship accepting the role before later withdrawing at a point where notice periods prevented a suitable replacement being found to begin the next academic year in September 2011. Pippa Irwin took over in September 2020 after Joanne Smith retired.

St Mary's College, Middlesbrough

St Mary's College was a voluntary aided Catholic college situated in Saltersgill, Middlesbrough, England. Tracing its roots back to 1904, it was the only Catholic further education provision in the region of Teesside for over 50 years. In 2011, St Mary's College, along with two other Catholic schools, closed. Its buildings, staff and educational provision were merged with the other schools to form Trinity Catholic College, Middlesbrough. In 2018, much of the building previously occupied by St Mary's Sixth Form underwent an extensive renovation, becoming Postgate House, the headquarters of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, which manages 27 schools across the Diocese of Middlesbrough. In 2019, Trinity Catholic College Sixth Form relocated from the old St Mary's site to a brand-new sixth form centre based on the school's main Lacy Road campus.

Newlands School FCJ

Newlands Catholic School FCJ was a mixed 11–16 Catholic, state school in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. The school was awarded Specialist Maths and Computing College status. It was owned by a religious order, the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJs) who originally came to Middlesbrough in the 19th century at the request of the Bishops. It was originally an all-girls school before it was amalgamated with St Mary's local boys school. The school motto was Fortiter Et Recte, which in Latin means "Bravely and Justly". In 2009, Newlands School was officially renamed as Trinity Catholic College after amalgamating with St. David's School, Middlesbrough.
