Gmina Międzyzdroje or Gmina Misdroy is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Kamień County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. Its seat is the town of Międzyzdroje, which lies approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) west of Kamień Pomorski and 58 km (36 mi) north of the regional capital Szczecin. The gmina covers an area of 117.17 square kilometres (45.2 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 6,477 (out of which the population of Międzyzdroje amounts to 5,436, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 1,041).

Międzyzdroje, historically known as Misdroy in English, is a city and a seaside resort in northwestern Poland on the island of Wolin on the Baltic coast. The city is located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, and is the seat of Gmina Międzyzdroje. In 2016, it was inhabited by around 5,500 people.
The town is often referred to as The Pearl of the Baltic. It is situated between wide sandy beaches with high cliffs and the forests of the Woliński National Park. Międzyzdroje has a spa climate and is rich in tourist services.

Wolin National Park is one of 23 national parks in Poland, situated on the island of Wolin in the far north-west of the country, in West Pomeranian Voivodeship. An IUCN category II protected area, it was established on 3 March 1960 and covers an area of 109.37 square kilometres. The park has its headquarters in the town of Międzyzdroje.
The park contains a varied flora and fauna. Its attractions include the sea cliffs of Gosań and Kawcza Góra, and a wisent sanctuary.

Wolin is an island in the Baltic Sea, just off the Polish coast. Administratively, the island belongs to Poland's West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Wolin is separated from the island of Usedom by the Strait of Świna, and from mainland Pomerania by the Strait of Dziwna. The island has an area of 265 km2 and its highest point is Mount Grzywacz at 116 m above sea level. The number of inhabitants is 30,000. Eastern suburbs of the city of Świnoujście extend to the Wolin island, while the towns of Międzyzdroje and Wolin lie further east.
Water from the river Oder flows into the Szczecin Lagoon and from there through the Peene west of Usedom, Świna and Dziwna into the Bay of Pomerania in the Baltic Sea.
Most of the island consists of forests and postglacial hills. In the middle is the Wolin National Park. The island is the main tourist attraction of northwestern Poland, and it is crossed by several marked tourist trails, such as a 73-kilometer-long trail from Międzyzdroje to Dziwnówek. There is a main, electrified rail line, which connects Szczecin and Świnoujście, as well as the international road E65 crossing the island.
Some etymologists believe that the name is related to the name of the ancient historical region of Volhynia. The origins of the name then would come from the resettled Volynians who named the island Volyn.
