Dalkeith railway station

Dalkeith railway station served the town of Dalkeith, Scotland, from 1838 to 1964 on the Dalkeith branch of the Edinburgh and Dalkeith Railway.

Midlothian (; Scottish Gaelic: Meadhan Lodainn) is registration county, lieutenancy area and one of 32 council areas of Scotland used for local government. Midlothian lies in the east-central Lowlands, bordering the City of Edinburgh council area, East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. The modern council area was formed in 1975 when the historic county of Midlothian, also known as Edinburghshire, was altered substantially as part of local government reforms; its southern part formed a new Midlothian District within the Region of Lothian, whilst areas on the peripheries were assigned to other districts and the city of Edinburgh, which had always been autonomous to an extent, was formally separated as the City of Edinburgh District. In 1996 Midlothian became a unitary authority area, using the same name and territory as in 1975.

St David's Church, Dalkeith

St David's Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland. It was founded in 1854 by Cecil Chetwynd Kerr, Marchioness of Lothian. It was designed by Joseph Hansom and is a category A listed building.

Dalkeith Thistle F.C.

Dalkeith Thistle Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Dalkeith, Midlothian. Formed in 1892, the team plays in the East of Scotland Football League, having moved from the junior leagues in 2018. Dalkeith's home strip is black with white trim, while their change strip is navy blue and sky blue. They play their home matches at King's Park, which has room for roughly 2,000 spectators. The new pavilion was erected in 2007, and floodlights were installed at the ground in 2013. There is also a community and youth wing to the club which operates out of Cowden Park in the town's Woodburn neighbourhood. From 2020, Edinburgh South groundshared at Dalkeith for two seasons with their newly formed senior team, due to the ground used by their many youth teams in The Inch, Edinburgh not meeting EoSFL requirements.
