Onze Molen is a mill in Durbanville, South Africa. The mill was built between 1837 and 1842 at the Johannesfontein farm.

In 1984 the mill was restored by the Natal Bouvereniging. A year earlier, the mill was added to the monument list. An article in the newspaper Die Burger of 4 May 1996 criticised the restoration as historically incorrect.

Pinelands railway station

Pinelands railway station is a Metrorail station situated on the western edge of Pinelands, a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. It is served by trains on the Cape Flats Line and the Central Line. Cape Flats Line trains travel from Cape Town through Pinelands and Athlone to Retreat. Central Line trains travel from Cape Town through Pinelands and Langa to Mitchell's Plain, Khayelitsha and Bellville. The station has four tracks accessible through two island platforms. The station building is elevated above the tracks and platforms. A parking lot is situated on the eastern side of the tracks.

The Valkenberg Hospital is a large, government-funded, tertiary psychiatric hospital in the city of Cape Town, South Africa. It is situated in the suburb of Observatory between the banks of the Liesbeek and Black Rivers, overlooking Devil's Peak in the distance. Together with its associated psychiatric hospitals it is the chief provider of specialist psychiatric services to the Cape Peninsula as well as being a major specialist referral centre of the Western Cape province. It is the main teaching hospital for the University of Cape Town's Department of Psychiatry and is also a specialised training centre for psychiatric nursing.

Raapenberg Bird Sanctuary

Raapenberg Bird Sanctuary is a 10-hectare protected area in Cape Town, located on the Liesbeek river near the suburb of Observatory. The sanctuary consists of a section of the Liesbeek River, with parkland, trees, lawn and picnic sites. It is an important breeding site for a variety of water bird species, such as Sacred Ibis, Egyptian Geese and many duck species. However, the sanctuary is badly overgrown with alien invasive plants which damage the river system and its biodiversity. The river itself is polluted, but is being rehabilitated for recreational activities. The area is intended to form part of the Two Rivers Urban Park, which will include many surrounding areas to form a large, integrated natural area in Cape Town. It will centre on the meeting point of the Liesbeek and Black River and will include several Provincial Heritage Sites, such as: the South African Astronomical Observatory, Valkenberg Homestead Valkenberg Hospital The Nieuwe Molen Windmill The Oude Molen Farmhouse complex

De Nieuwe Molen is the oldest and the largest extant mill in South Africa and was built in 1782 near the Black River. The mill is situated in the Alexandra Hospital in Maitland, Cape Town and was declared a National Monument in 1978.

A certain James Walton states that the restorers were after a copy of Mostert's Mill than on a restoration of the original. In 1999, a plan to get the mill working again was rejected. Locally, the mill is also known as Die Ou Meul. The Afrikaans word for mill is meul. Nevertheless, the building is called Onze Molen in official documents, after the original Dutch spelling.
