Peace Dale (also spelled Peacedale) is a village in the town of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States. Together with the village of Wakefield, it is treated by the U.S. Census as a component of the census-designated place identified as Wakefield-Peacedale. The Peace Dale Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district in 1987.

Simpson in 2005, the company presents a range of plays throughout South County with an emphasis on reaching first-time theatergoers. The company presents an annual holiday show at the historic waterfront Towers in Narragansett and produces an annual 24-Hour Play Festival at the South Kingstown High School. Kenyon's Department Store is an historic department store building in the village of Wakefield in the town of South Kingstown, Rhode Island.
The historic Chicago style/Queen Anne style store was built in 1891 by Charles Chase and Harry Lewis. Kenyon's Department Store was located in "Wakefield, a village that began when William Kenyon bought 100 acres and donated the dirt streets." The original department store business was founded in 1856. The 1891 store building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Kenyon's Department Store closed in 1996 when the last descendant retired, and the owner donated the building to South County Hospital to maintain as a medical supply store.

Wakefield is a village in the town of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States, and the commercial center of South Kingstown. Together with the village of Peace Dale, it is treated by the U.S. Census as a component of the census-designated place identified as Wakefield-Peacedale. West Kingston, another South Kingstown village, was the traditional county seat of Washington County. Since 1991, the Washington County Courthouse has been in Wakefield. The Sheriff's Office which handles corrections is also in Wakefield.
The Wakefield village center along Main Street between Belmont Avenue and Columbia Street was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 as Wakefield Historic District, with boundary increases in 2019 and 2022. The district is significant for being an early commercial and industrial center. The district includes 53 properties over an area of 400 acres.
The historic district is roughly bounded by Kersey Rd., Oakwoods Dr., Kingstown Rd., School, Church and Railroad Sts., and contains the historic core of the village.
