Birch Lane - Izeria

Birch Lane was a rugby league ground in Bradford, England. It was the first long term home of Bradford Northern Rugby League Football Club, who played there for 26 years from 1908 to 1934 before moving to Odsal Stadium. For a short while it was also home to Bradford F.C. in their first incarnation as a football club. Birch Lane was described as "notorious" and a "poverty-stricken place" and was never popular either with Northern or, for the short period they were there, Bradford F.C. There is also a cricket ground at Birch Lane which adjoins the site of the rugby ground, home to Bowling Old Lane Cricket Club. This predates the rugby ground and continues in existence to this day.

Bowling Park is a public urban park near Bolling Hall in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) south south east from the city centre. The park is irregularly shaped with an area of 50 acres (20 ha) and is bounded by Bowling Hall Road, Burras Road, Bowling Memorial Cemetery, Parkside Road, Avenue Road, Bowling Park Allotments and Bowling Park Drive (formerly New Hey Road). The park is grade II listed with English Heritage on their Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England and is owned by the City of Bradford.

Manchester Road railway station (West Yorkshire)

Manchester Road railway station is a closed station in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. The station opened in 1878 but closed to passengers in 1915. The goods yard remained open until 1963. The station was bypassed by a single line after 1963 to serve the City Road Goods Branch. After closure of the line, the site has been overbuilt with a Royal Mail sorting office. A pub remains nearby, called the Station Hotel.

East Bowling

East Bowling is an area of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England located to the south of Bradford city centre. It forms the eastern half of the historic township and manor of Bowling. Bowling became a ward of the newly created Borough of Bradford in 1847. In 1882 the ward was split into the wards of East and West Bowling. In the north the boundary was along the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. To the south it was along Hall Lane and Bolling Hall Lane. The southern/southeastern boundary follows Rooley Lane and Sticker Lane. The northern boundary follows Bowling Back Lane. East Bowling forms a roughly triangular area with its southern apex near Croft Street about 350m from the city centre. Wakefield Road is its main thoroughfare. East Bowling is now a part of the Bowling and Barkerend ward.
