Subcity Radio - Izeria

Subcity Radio (formerly Sub City and SubCity) is a non-profit freeform radio station, arts collective and events promoter based at the University of Glasgow which is run by volunteers from the university and local community with the aim of providing an alternative to commercial and mainstream radio providers. It currently broadcasts online year round and until September 2009 also on temporary short-term FM Restricted Service Licence broadcasts. The station also hosts a large catalogue of audio for on-demand listening and podcasting, including recordings of the live stream, sessions, interviews, news and live recordings. Off-air, Subcity runs various events and club nights throughout the year, with previous venues including the Sub Club, Art School, Research Club, Stereo, and The Arches.

Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery

The Hunterian is a complex of museums located in and operated by the University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland. It is the oldest museum in Scotland. It covers the Hunterian Museum, the Hunterian Art Gallery, the Mackintosh House, the Zoology Museum and the Anatomy Museum, which are all located in various buildings on the main campus of the university in the west end of Glasgow.

University of Glasgow Memorial Gates

The Memorial Gates at the University of Glasgow were erected in 1952 as a celebration of the university's quincentenary, or five hundredth anniversary. They form a portal through the University Avenue side of the perimeter fence around the university's current site on Gilmorehill. They stand before the Hunter memorial and Hunterian Museum, on the other side of the John McIntyre Building from the Main Gate. The large gates in the centre are generally locked, although the small pedestrian gates to the left and right are opened during the day. The gates bear the names of thirty distinguished figures associated with the university. The gates are protected as a category B listed building. The university was originally situated on High Street, near the current site of the University of Strathclyde. The move to the Gilmorehill campus began in the late 19th century.

The society contributed to the understanding of Scotland's glacial history, and the relationship between the Earth's rotation and climate change. Adam Smith Business School

Adam Smith Business School (formerly known as Adam Smith School of Economics and Finance) is the business school of the University of Glasgow. It is named after the father of economics, Adam Smith (1723–1790), who was Professor of Moral Philosophy at the university. The first chair of accountancy was established within the Faculty of Law in 1925, with Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Accounting degrees being introduced in 1968. In 1971, the Scottish Business School (SBS) was established as a collaboration between the universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Strathclyde. The SBS launched a part-time MBA at Glasgow University in 1976. In 1978, Andrew Thomson was appointed Professor of Business Policy in Glasgow's recently established Department of Management Studies. The business school was established in 1986. The school continues research in international finance, international economics and macroeconomics. As of 2024, the business school offered four undergraduate and 35 postgraduate degrees (including PhDs) and is one of few institutions holding triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. To commemorate 300 years since the birth of Adam Smith in 2023, students of the school designed a school tartan which is recognised in the Scottish Register of Tartans. The School has 11 research clusters, including: accounting; entrepreneurship, development and political economy; finance; human resource management and organisational behaviour; international business and enterprise; macroeconomics; marketing and microeconomics.
