The Media City Footbridge is a swing-mechanism footbridge over the Manchester Ship Canal near MediaCityUK. It is an asymmetric cable-stayed swing bridge and was completed in 2011. It was designed by Gifford (now part of Ramboll) and WilkinsonEyre. The pedestrian bridge links MediaCityUK with the Imperial War Museum North on Trafford Wharf. It weighs 450 tonnes, and has two spans of 65 and 18 metres (213 and 59 ft). It swings through 71 degrees to give a 48-metre (157 ft) navigation channel. The deck of the bridge is an orthotropic steel box. The bridge is supported by eight tapered steel fanned masts. It was built by Balfour Beatty, with the steel fabrication by Rowecord Engineering of Newport, South Wales. The swing mechanism is built on a reinforced concrete caisson foundation of 13 metres (43 ft) diameter. Above the water it is 7.3 metres (24 ft) in diameter.

dock10 is a television facility owner and media services company in the City of Salford, Greater Manchester, England. dock10 offers a number of services including post production and The Studios.
Its studio filming facility, often referred to as The Studios, is the best-known part of the company. It was built as a major part of MediaCityUK, a development in Salford, Greater Manchester. The move saw a number of major productions leave London for the first time and head north to Salford. The BBC, ITV and Channel 4 all relocated the filming of various shows to The Studios. This included established British shows Match of the Day and Countdown.
dock10 also offers other media services, such as post production. Their post-production shows include Match of the Day, Blue Peter and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.

Coronation Street sets
The sets of the British ITV soap opera Coronation Street have undergone four major and several less significant changes since the first broadcast in December 1960. Originally entirely indoors, in 1968 the original wooden set was moved outside, and shortly afterwards reconstructed in brick. In 1982 the set was entirely rebuilt in a new location. The current set, brought into use in 2013, is based at the ITV Trafford Wharf Studios backlot, MediaCityUK in Trafford.
It consists of early 20th-century red brick terraced houses (typical of the type found in towns and cities in the north of England), with a public house, The Rovers Return, at one end, and a corner shop at the other. The other side of the street consists of a factory, two shop units, a garage and three semi-detached houses, all appearing to have been constructed in the late 1980s.

Imperial War Museum North
Imperial War Museum North (sometimes referred to as IWM North) is a museum in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford in Greater Manchester, England. One of five branches of the Imperial War Museum, it explores the impact of modern conflicts on people and society. It is the first branch of the Imperial War Museum to be located in the north of England. The museum occupies a site overlooking the Manchester Ship Canal on Trafford Wharf Road, Trafford Park, an area which during World War II was a key industrial centre and consequently heavily bombed during the Manchester Blitz in 1940. The area is now home to the Lowry cultural centre and the MediaCityUK development, which stand opposite the museum at Salford Quays.
The museum building was designed by architect Daniel Libeskind and opened in July 2002, receiving 470,000 visitors in its first year of opening. It was recognised with awards or prize nominations for its architecture and is a prime example of Deconstructivist architecture. The museum features a permanent exhibition of chronological and thematic displays, supported by hourly audiovisual presentations which are projected throughout the gallery space. The museum also hosts a programme of temporary exhibitions in a separate gallery. Since opening, the museum has operated a successful volunteer programme, which since January 2007 has been run in partnership with Manchester Museum. As part of a national museum, Imperial War Museum North is financed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and by self-generated income. Admission is free.

MediaCityUK tram stop
MediaCityUK is a Manchester Metrolink tram stop in Salford Quays, Salford. It is at the end of a short spur off the Eccles Line and is in fare zone 2. This stop was opened on 20 September 2010 and has step-free access.
The stop is located at street-level. It is on the north side of Salford Quays, adjacent to Dock 9 and the Manchester Ship Canal (border between Salford and Trafford). Serving MediaCityUK, it is also near to The Lowry, other parts of Salford Quays, and Imperial War Museum North (though there is a different tram stop on the Trafford Park Line serving it closer).
