Khursheed Jah Devdi is a European styled architectural palace located in Hyderabad. It was built by the Ancestors of Paigah noble Amir-Paigah Khursheed Jah Bahadur Shams-ul-Umra IV, Its interiors were once adorned with expensive carpets and exclusive chandeliers. It is located at Hussaini Alam, just a kilometre from the historic Charminar.

Bahadurpura Assembly constituency is a constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly, India. It is one of fifteen constituencies in the capital city of Hyderabad. It is part of Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. This is why Bahadurpura Assembly constituency is also known as bastion of AIMIM. Mohammed Mubeen won the 2023 Assembly election.

Chowmahalla Palace

Chowmahalla Palace or Chowmahallat is the palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad State located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was the seat of power of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizams during their reign. The palace has been converted into a museum and the ownership still lies with the family. The palace was constructed at the location of an earlier palace of the Qutb Shahi dynasty and Asaf Jahi dynasty close to the Charminar. Construction of the palace, as it stands today, was started by Nizam Ali Khan Asaf Jah II in 1769. He ordered the building of four palaces from which the nomenclature of Chau Mahalla is derived. The word chār or chahār, and its variation chow, means "four" and the word mahal means "palace" in Urdu, Hindi and Persian.

Makkah Masjid, Hyderabad

Mecca Masjid, also called Makkah Masjid, is a mosque located in Hyderabad in the state of Telangana, India. It is the largest mosque in the city, and one of the largest in the country, with a capacity of 10,000 worshippers. The mosque was built during the 17th century, and is a state-protected monument. It was completed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1694 CE. It serves as the primary mosque for the Old City of Hyderabad, and is located close to the historic landmarks of Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and Laad Bazaar. Muhammad Qutb Shah, the sixth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, commissioned bricks to be made from the soil brought from Mecca, the holiest site of Islam, and used them in the construction of the central arch of the mosque, thus giving the mosque its name. In 2014, UNESCO placed the complex on its "tentative list" to become a World Heritage Site, with others in the region, under the name Monuments and Forts of the Deccan Sultanate.

Despite numerous demands for restoration by heritage activists, the Khursheed Jah Devdi, once home to the Paigah nobles slowly crumbled to ruins. In 2023, authorities have allocated Rs. 12 crore to restore the property and restoration works is being taken up.

History

Located in Shah Ganj, between the city palace of Asman Jah and the palace Iqbal-ud-Daula named after Khurshid Jah though it was built during the time of his grandfather Shams al-Umara II, (1781–1893). Built over a high plinth, the two-story palace has very spacious rooms and verandas. The European style façade is marked by Ionic columns and a barrel-vault roof. The palace served as a women’s college in 2008.
