Old Town (Polish: Stare Miasto; German: Altstadt), and the core of the historic old German port city of Stettin until 1950, is a municipal neighborhood of the modern city of Szczecin, now in Poland, situated on the left bank of the Oder river. It is the oldest historical district in the city.

Sts. Peter and St. Paul Church

The Sts. Peter and St. Paul Church is a Brick Gothic Polish Old Catholic parish church in Szczecin, Poland, within the Downtown district. It is placed at 4 and 5 Sts. Peter and Paul Square, at the corner of Castle Route and Tadeusz Mazowiecki Street, within the neighbourhood of Old Town. The first wooden church was built at the location in 1124, being founded by Otto of Bamberg as a seat of a Roman Catholic parish. A new brick church was built in its place in 1425, and in 1534, the parish denomination was changed to the Lutheranism. The building was destroyed in 1677 by the artillery bombardment, while the city was under a siege during the Scanian War. It was rebuilt in 1702. Since 1945, the building is the seat of the parish of St. Peter and St. Paul, belonging to the Polish-Catholic Church in the Republic of Poland. The parish is dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul, who, in the Christian theology, were the apostles who spread the teachings of Jesus Christ in the first-century AD. Saint Peter was also the first Pope, the leader of the Catholic Church.

Memorial to the Victims of December 1970

The Memorial to the Victims of December 1970, also colloquially known as the Angel of Freedom, is a monument in Szczecin, Poland, placed at the Solidarity Square, within the Old Town neighbourhood. The monument is dedicated to the victims of the suppression of December 1970 protests in Szczecin. Made from bronze, it has a form of a statue of an angel, holding a crown of thorns forming a text which reads "Grudzień 1970" and translates from Polish to December 1970, and standing on a boat emerging from the ground. It was designed by Czesław Dźwigaj, and unveiled on 28 August 2005.

King's Gate

The King's Gate, formerly known as the Anklam Gate, and sometimes also referred to as the Prussian Homage Gate, is a historic Baroque city gate in Szczecin, Poland, located at the Prussian Homage Square, at the intersection of Matejki Street and Polish Soldier Square. It was constructed between 1725 and 1728, with the project being designed by Gerhard Cornelius van Wallrawe, and its elaborate façade sculptures done by Bartholomé Damart. It served as the northern entrance to the city, and was part of the fortification walls, until 1841, when they were deconstructed. Currently, it houses a confectionery store.

Ducal Castle, Szczecin

The Ducal Castle, also known as the Castle of the Dukes of Pomerania, and the Szczecin Castle, is a renaissance castle in the city of Szczecin, Poland, located at the Castle Hill in the Stare Miasto neighbourhood, near the Oder river. It is built in the gothic and Pomeranian mannerism architectural style. The castle was the seat of the dukes of Pomerania-Stettin of the House of Pomerania, who ruled the Duchy of Pomerania from 1121 to 1637. The building history originates in 1346, when Duke Barnim III began the construction of the ducal housing complex, and continues to 1428, when, under the rule of Casimir V, it was expanded, forming the castle. Currently, it is one of the largest cultural centres in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
