Woodhill Forest

Woodhill Forest (Māori: Te Ngahere o Woodhill) is a commercial exotic (pine) forest located to the northwest of Auckland, New Zealand. The forest covers approx. 12,500 ha (31,000 acres) of the South Kaipara Head, from Muriwai to the north of South Head. The forest is a popular location for a number of recreation activities, including horse riding, 4WD and trail biking, mountain biking, paintball, tree climbing adventures (confidence and team building), orienteering and filming; all require purchase of a permit, and walking or dog walking is no longer supported by the owners.

Ōkiritoto Stream

Ōkiritoto Stream, also known as the Muriwai Stream, is a stream of the Auckland Region of New Zealand's North Island. The stream originates to the east of Muriwai, and flows in a circular anti-clockwise direction, flowing into Muriwai Beach at Muriwai Regional Park north of the Muriwai Golf Course. The stream is home to two waterfalls, the Okiritoto Falls and the Toroanui Falls.

Waimauku Dairy Factory

The Waimauku Dairy Factory, operated under the Settlers Country Manor name, is a historic property in Waimauku, New Zealand. It has been used as a wedding venue and as a venue for opera performance and films, including the 2025 film A Minecraft Movie. The site was associated with the Waitemata Co-operative Dairy Company in the late 19th century. In 1909, it was formally established as a dairy factory. The original factory building was opened in October 1915, and a larger building was opened in November 1924. According to NZHistory, the enlarged dairy factory opened on 27 November 1924 and was built to service approximately 350 local dairy suppliers. The property was renovated in 1972 for event and destination use. The site is listed as a place of historic heritage value under Schedule 14.1 of the Auckland Council’s Unitary Plan. The venue has hosted weddings for public figures, including the 2025 wedding of Shortland Street actress Charisse Uy, which was held at the property operating as Settlers Country Manor. In 2025, Settlers Country Manor won the Wedding Venue - Garden Award at the New Zealand Wedding Industry Awards.

Waimauku

Waimauku is a small locality in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. It comes under the jurisdiction of Auckland Council, and is in the council's Rodney ward. Waimauku is approximately 4 kilometres west of Huapai on State Highway 16 at the junction with the road to Muriwai Beach. Helensville is 16 km to the north-west. Waimauku is a Māori word which is literally translated as wai: stream and mauku: varieties of small ferns. Formerly a farming and fruit-growing community, the area around Waimauku now features a number of wineries and an increasing suburban and lifestyle farming population. The Auckland Regional Council announced in 2007 that Western Line rail services would be extended to Helensville for a one-year trial period commencing in July 2008. This service would include a stop at Waimauku. A new station platform was built at Waimauku and the service commenced on 14 July 2008. The service ceased in 2009, and the platform is currently unused.
