The Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) is an arts centre in Glasgow, Scotland. It is substantially subsidised by Creative Scotland and operates from the former Third Eye Centre in a building purchased in the 1970s by the Scottish Arts Council. The McAlpin Nursing Home, originally known as the Glasgow Training Home for Nurses, was founded in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1874 by Miss Agnes McAlpin. It was regarded as a pioneering institution for training private nurses in Glasgow, raising the status of nurses in the West of Scotland and providing nursing care for those who were not eligible for free hospital care but could not afford private care.

Beresford Hotel
The Beresford is a former hotel situated at 460 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, Scotland. It opened in 1938 to provide accommodation for those attending the city's Empire Exhibition and was often described as Glasgow's first skyscraper, being the tallest building erected in Glasgow between the two world wars, at seven storeys high. It is one of the city's most notable examples of Art Deco/Streamline Moderne architecture, and is protected as a category B listed building. The first public address by the young John F. Kennedy was delivered in the hotel in 1939.
