Dalbeattie Star Football Club is a Scottish association football club based in Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway. It currently competes in the South of Scotland League. The club had previously played in the Lowland League. Home matches are played at Islecroft Stadium in Dalbeattie, and as an SFA member they also play in the Scottish Cup.

Dalbeattie is in a wooded valley on the Urr Water 4 miles (6 km) east of Castle Douglas and 12 miles (19 km) south west of Dumfries.
The town is famed for its granite industry and for being the home town of William McMaster Murdoch, the First Officer of the RMS Titanic.

Dalbeattie High School is a small rural secondary school on the edge of Dalbeattie in the historical county of Kirkcudbrightshire in the local council area of Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland. The school has 380 pupils, with 40 staff.
The original school was built between 1950 and 1958 by the Kirkcudbrightshire County architect Archibald Thomson Caldwell and has been replaced by a new build which was officially opened in August 2018. Combined with the relocated primary it forms the Dalbeattie Learning Campus.
