The Embarcadero and Greenwich station

The Embarcadero and Greenwich station is a light rail station in San Francisco, California, serving the San Francisco Municipal Railway's E Embarcadero and F Market & Wharves heritage railway lines. It is located on The Embarcadero at Greenwich Street. The station opened on March 4, 2000, with the streetcar's extension to Fisherman's Wharf. The stop is served by the L Owl bus route, which provides service along the F Market & Wharves and L Taraval lines during the late night hours when trains do not operate.

Tin Angel (San Francisco)

The Tin Angel was a lesbian nightclub, live music venue, and restaurant in operation from 1953 to 1961, on the Embarcadero at 981 Embarcadero (near Pier 23) in San Francisco, California, U.S. The venue and its founder were credited as "spearheading the 'Jazz on the Waterfront' movement" in the 1950s. In 1958, the club ownership changed and it was renamed On-The-Levee, before its closure in July 1961.

Levi's Plaza

Levi Strauss Plaza, also known as Levi Plaza or Levi's Plaza, is an office complex located in North Waterfront district of San Francisco, west of The Embarcadero. It houses the headquarters of Levi Strauss & Co. As of 1998 the company Blue Jeans Equity West is the landlord of the complex. In 1998 the ownership of the company consisted of Equitable Real Estate, Gerson Bakar, Jim Joseph, and Al Wilsey. Steve Ginsberg of the San Francisco Business Times said in 1998 that the complex is "the only true corporate campus" in San Francisco.

Frederick Griffing's (ship)

Frederick Griffing's ship refers to the remains of a sailing vessel buried beneath the current Levi's Plaza in San Francisco where Frederick Griffing's wharf previously existed. When the plaza was constructed in 1978, the archaeological site was discovered. The ship is believed to be either the Palmyra or the William Grey.

It was founded in May 1853 when German-Jewish immigrant Levi Strauss moved from Buttenheim, Bavaria, to San Francisco, California, to open a West Coast branch of his brothers' New York dry goods business. Although the corporation is registered in Delaware, the company's corporate headquarters is located in Levi's Plaza in San Francisco.
