Gateshead Talmudical College

Gateshead Talmudical College (Hebrew: ישיבת בית יוסף גייטסהעד), popularly known as Gateshead Yeshiva, is located in the Bensham area of Gateshead in North East England. It is the largest yeshiva in Europe and considered to be one of the most prestigious advanced yeshivas in the Orthodox world. The student body currently (as of 2019) numbers approx. 350. Although students are mainly British, there are European, American, Canadians as well as some from South America, Australia and South Africa. Most students are Litvish, but up to a third are Hasidic.

Gateshead Jewish Academy for Girls

Gateshead Jewish Academy for Girls, also known as Beis Chaya Rochel (Hebrew: בית חיה רחל), is a two-year post-secondary school college, or "seminary". It was founded in Gateshead, England in 1998; its principal is Rabbi Avrohom Katz, an author and columnist. It is an Orthodox Jewish college, attracting Haredi students from all around the world, with a dormitory and all long-term in-living accommodations. Most students come from the United Kingdom but significant numbers come from other European countries. Students range in age from 16 to 21. The academy aims to provide students with an education in the Torah to "guide and support them in their role as orthodox Jewish women in adult life". The academy also provides students with opportunities to take a range of AS/A Levels, GCSE and vocational qualifications in partnership with a local FE College. It is also commonly known by most people as "Gateshead New" (or just "New") due to another seminary that opened earlier in Gateshead and is referred to as "Gateshead Old".

Bensham

Bensham is a suburban area in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England. The area consists mainly of residential properties, with a range of predominantly terraced housing, built between the late 1890s and the 1980s.

St Chad's Church or Church of St Chad is an Anglican parish church in Bensham, Gateshead and a Grade II* listed building. It is a landmark visible from the East Coast Mainline and combines Arts and Crafts and late English Gothic revival architecture.
