Woodhouse Ridge

Woodhouse Ridge is a strip of woodland on the south west hillside of the Meanwood valley in urban area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Locally known as 'The Ridge', the area is notable as a significant area of mature woodland in an otherwise highly developed urban area. The woods are centred at grid reference 53.820061, -1.560144 and are enclosed by Meanwood Road to the east and by Headingley to the north and Woodhouse, Leeds to the South. The Ridge has a number of interesting features, including a Victorian bandstand, a world war two air raid shelter, a packhorse bridge, the Meanwood Beck and allotments, all connected by a network of public footpaths.

Leeds City Academy

Leeds City Academy (formerly City of Leeds School) is a mixed secondary school with academy status, located in Woodhouse, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The school building was opened to pupils in 1992, although the City of Leeds School has existed on a different site for over 100 years.

Headingley Hill Congregational Church

Headingley Hill Congregational Church is a redundant Congregational church at the corner of Headingley Lane and Cumberland Road, in the Headingley area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The church, which is a Grade II listed building, was designed in the Gothic Revival style by Cuthbert Brodrick and completed in 1866. It was the only church to have been designed by Brodrick, who is noted for Leeds Town Hall and the Corn Exchange. Its congregation moved out in 1978 to merge with St Columba Presbyterian Church and form Headingley St Columba URC with a new building in the centre of Headingley. After this, Headingley Hill Congregational Church was converted to offices. It was returned to religious use in 1996 and renamed the Ashwood Centre, when the independent Pentecostal City Church bought the building and relocated there from the city centre. Due to falling congregations, this closed and it has been vacant since at least 2014, when it was offered for sale. Planning consent for conversion to flats was secured in 2018.

Sugarwell Court

Sugarwell Court is a hall of residence of Leeds Beckett University located off Meanwood Road in the Meanwood area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. There are currently 7 blocks based on site, which are alphabetically placed around the campus, called Airedale, Bishopdale, Coverdale, Deepdale, Eskdale, Farndale and Glaisdale. In total, the hall accommodates 388 people. Eskdale has facilities for disabled students. Part of the building is Grade II listed and based on a conversion of Sugarwell Works, also previously known as Cliff Tannery, which was a tannery originally built in 1866. The railings, gates and gate piers are a separate listed building. It was converted in 1993. The main buildings have been gutted and refurbished. It takes its name from Sugarwell Hill.

Leeds Girls' High School

Leeds Girls' High School (LGHS) was an independent, selective, fee-paying school for girls aged 3–18 founded in 1876 in Headingley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It merged with Leeds Grammar School in 2008 to form The Grammar School at Leeds.
