Abuyama Kofun

Abuyama Kofun is an Asuka period burial mound, located on Mount Abu, on the border of the Nasahara neighborhood of the city of Takatsuki and the Ai neighborhood of the city of Ibaraki, Osaka Prefecture, in the Kansai region of Japan. In 1934, the interred remains of an ancient nobleman were excavated from underground, and it has been hypothesized that the tomb was dedicated to the 7th century statesman Fujiwara no Kamatari, who is known as the founder of the powerful Fujiwara clan. The tumulus was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1983.

Tsugeyama Kofun

Tsugeyama Kofun is a Kofun period burial mound, located in the Himuro neighborhood of the city of Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture, in the Kansai region of Japan. The tumulus was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 2002. Its name comes from an underground ice storage room used for cockfighting, which is mentioned in the Nihon Shoki under the entry for the reign of Emperor Nintoku.

Imashirozuka Kofun

Imashirozuka Kofun is a Kofun period keyhole-shaped burial mound, located in the Gungeshinmachi neighborhood of the city of Takatsuki, Osaka in the Kinai region of Japan. The tumulus was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1958, with the area under protection expanded in 2006. It is the largest kofun in the Yodo River basin and one of the largest constructed in the first half of the sixth century. Although it has not been sanctioned by the Imperial Household Agency, there is a credible theory that it is the true tomb of the 26th Emperor Keitai.

History

Akutagawayama Castle was built by Hosokawa Takakuni but was later taken control of by the Miyoshi clan. It was the original base of power for the Miyoshi clan before Miyoshi Nagayoshi moved to Iimoriyama Castle. After Nagayoshi left the castle, his son Miyoshi Yoshioki was in charge of the Castle.
