East St. Paul is a rural municipality in Manitoba, Canada. It is located north-east of and adjacent to the city of Winnipeg, and is part of the Winnipeg Metropolitan Area. The municipality was formed on November 3, 1915, when the municipality of St. Paul was subdivided into West St. Paul and East St. Paul, with the Red River acting as the dividing line.
It encompasses 41 square kilometres. In 2016, there were 9,372 persons living in the RM of East St. Paul, making it the most densely-populated RM in Manitoba at 223.2 inhabitants per square kilometre.

The community is a few kilometers east of the Red River The R.M. of East St. Paul's Administration and Finance Departments, Fire Department, municipal council chambers, and RCMP offices are located in Birds Hill. The community includes Silverfox Estates and the Country Villas, which is Manitoba's first resort age-restricted adult-only gated community. Built in 1998, this residential area is an exclusively low-density community where 163 detached, single-family homes are on private landscaped sites.

The park protects areas representative of Aspen/Oak parkland, as well as provides opportunities for recreation. It is located 24 kilometers north of Winnipeg on Highway 59, and covers approximately 8,300 acres or 35.1 km2.
Birds Hill Provincial Park was designated a provincial park by the Government of Manitoba in 1964. The park is considered to be a Category III protected area under the IUCN protected area management categories.

River East was a provincial electoral district of Manitoba, Canada. It was officially created by redistribution in 1979, and formally existed since the provincial election of 1981 until 2019.
The riding was located on the northeast corner of the city of Winnipeg, bordered by the Red River to the west, the city limit, by Springfield, to the north and east, and by the riding of Rossmere to the south.
It was replaced for the 2019 election by the new Kildonan-River East district.
River East was an affluent district with an average income of $62,534 and an unemployment rate of 5.60% in 1999. It also had a large immigrant population, at 17% of the total population. Twelve per cent of River East's residents listed German as their ethnic origin, while a further 9% listed Ukrainian. The riding's total population in 1996 was 19,840.
