Le canton de Foix est une circonscription électorale française du département de l'Ariège, créée par le décret du 18 février 2014 et entré en vigueur lors des élections départementales de 2015. Il est composé de la commune de Foix, qui formait auparavant le canton monocommunal de Foix-Ville, et de cinq communes qui appartenaient au canton de Foix-Rural.

Foix is located in the Occitanie region of southwestern France. It is the second least populous French departmental capital, the least populous being Privas. It is only the second biggest town in Ariège, the biggest being Pamiers, which is one of the two sub-prefectures, the other being St Girons. Foix is twinned with the English cathedral city of Ripon, with the Spanish towns of Sarroca de Lleida, Lleida and the Andorran capital Andorra la Vella.
