WVOX (1460 AM) is a radio station licensed to New Rochelle, New York and serving the New York metropolitan area. WVOX is owned by Beverly Hills, California-based Chang Media Group, and has its transmitter located in Mount Vernon, New York. WVOX is presently silent pending technical and programming changes to be implemented by Chang Media, who acquired WVOX in October 2023 in a three-way donation/sale transaction from its former locally-based owner, Whitney Media Group.

The Rochelle Park–Rochelle Heights Historic District is a historic residential district located in the city of New Rochelle in Westchester, New York. The district is historically and architecturally significant as an intact and distinctive example of residential park development at the turn of the Twentieth Century. It includes the historic Rochelle Park development, and the later Rochelle Heights subdivision. Within the district are 555 contributing properties, including 513 buildings, 38 structures, and 4 sites. Only 24 buildings and 1 site separately identified within its area are non-contributing. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 6, 2005. The two neighborhoods, combined into one historic district in 1986, reflect the history of suburban design from 1885 when the phenomenon first took hold in Westchester, the first large suburban area in the world to develop, to the 1920s when the automobile and Progressive Era ideas of planning and architecture were coming into favor. The landscape and house architecture of the area remains remarkably intact and provide valuable information about the range of innovative planning principles that were applied there.

Henry Barnard Early Childhood Center

Henry Barnard Early Childhood Center is an early education school comprising grades Pre-K through 2nd grade, and part of the City School District of New Rochelle, located in the Beechmont section of New Rochelle in Westchester County, New York. Within the school are several district programs including a four-year pre-k through grade 2 magnet program and the district's Pre-School Speech Language Learning Center. Barnard's Early Childhood Center has been recognized as a Sharing Success Program by the State of New York. EC2, a primary magnet program, offers a four-year sequence for youngsters from pre-kindergarten to second grade. It provides a project-based approach to learning adapted from the internationally recognized Reggio Emilia method of instruction with a strong emphasis on language development.

Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake was located in the village of New Rochelle in Westchester County, New York. It originally supplied early colonial mills with water power. It was fed by Stephenson Brook, which rises just north of Paine Lake and drains the large watershed adjacent to North Avenue from beyond Quaker Ridge Road. The lake appears to have existed as a natural sheet of water, near the end of the brook. It had two outlets into Long Island Sound, one at the present Stephenson Boulevard, and the other at the east side of Lispenard Avenue. These outlets had an abrupt fall in the few yards between the lake's south edge and the Long Island Sound shore, of approximately 20–25 ft. This was the greatest natural fall of any stream emptying into the Sound between New York City and Connecticut. From very early, the value of it for water power was recognized.

Under Whitney ownership, WVOX primarily aired locally-produced information and talk, including programs presented by local citizens and interest groups. The station was affiliated with Music of Your Life, which aired overnights, weekends, and in time slots not occupied by a local show. The station's coverage area includes most of Westchester County and adjoining portions of New York City, along with Nassau County on Long Island and northeastern New Jersey. Further changes to WVOX's operations are expected to be undertaken by Omega Vision Network, a Christian broadcast ministry which in September 2025 announced it would purchase the station from Chang Media Group, pending final approval from the Federal Communications Commission.
