Matakawau Point is a rural settlement on the east side of the Āwhitu Peninsula and west side of the Manukau Harbour in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. The mouth of Matakawau Creek is south of Matakawau Point.
The sandstone cliffs of the coast are prone to erosion, which has resulted in some areas of the Matakawau Point Reserve been fenced off. The local beaches are Sargeants Beach and Matakawau Beach. The latter beach and other low-lying areas are at risk of flooding.

Grahams Beach is a rural settlement on the northern tip of the Āwhitu Peninsula and south coast of the Manukau Harbour in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. The settlement as described by Statistics New Zealand also includes Big Bay.
Once known as Graham's Beach, it was on a ferry route between Waiuku and Onehunga in 1895. A wharf was built in about 1903. A primary school flourished in Graham's Beach around 1927. It closed in 1949 when rural schools in the area were consolidated to Awhitu District School.

The name could mean 'place of a pit' in the Māori language, but could be a contraction of 'Oruarua', 'place of two minds' or 'in doubt'. The name became officially 'Ōrua Bay' in 2023.
