Bangladesh Institute of Science and Technology (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি ইনস্টিটিউট; BIST) is a university-level institution affiliated with the National University, Bangladesh located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.The institute was established in 1999 at Kakrail in Dhaka. The institute is regulated by a governing body consisting of Principal, Head of the Faculty Science and Engineering, Head of the Faculty of Business Studies all within the rules and regulations of National University of Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Scouts is the national Scouting organization of Bangladesh. Currently the Chief Scout of Bangladesh is Mohammed Shahabuddin who is also the President of Bangladesh. Despite Scouting being started in the subcontinent in 1910, Indian boys were barred from participating. In 1918, under the leadership of Mrs. Annie Besant, the Indian Scout Association started its journey. After the success of the association, the inclusion of Subcontinental boys was legalized and "The Bengal Boy Scout Association" was formed in 1920. During the Pakistani period of Bangladesh's history, Scouting was done jointly under the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association and stayed like that until the country's division in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Following its independence, the Bangladesh Boy Scout Association was officially formed in 1972. Bangladesh became an independent member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1974. The organization changed its name to "Bangladesh Scouts" in 1978. The organization has 2,261,351 members as of 2021.

The Siddheshwari Kali Mandir is a Hindu temple located at 14 Siddheshwari Lane in Dhaka, Bangladesh, established in the year 1441 CE. It is known that the name of Siddheshwari has come from the temple's name. It is estimated that someone called Chand Rai established this temple.
The centre of the temple has valuable statue of "Kali Ma" and the temple was extended with columns.
It is situated in a very congested area with narrow roads and crowded with people. Beside Siddheshwari the centre of Malibagh is situated. In the courtyard of the temple a red sandalwood tree is standing. Near the temple there was an old pond and some old temples.
In the temple, festivals are organized. At the time of the Sharodio festival the people have placed Puja in front of the statue of Devi Ma for years. The people organize the grand festival of Durga Puja. On the tenth day of worshiping the Hindu people immerse the statue of Devi Ma into the pond. In this way the festivals goes on throughout the year.
