Dedovsk (Russian: Де́довск) is a town in Istrinsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 38 kilometers (24 mi) west of Moscow and 30 kilometers (19 mi) southeast of Istra, the administrative center of the district. Population: 29,108 (2010 census); 27,662 (2002 census); 30,740 (1989 Soviet census). It was previously known as Dedovo/Dedovsky (until 1940).
